Vaksin dan Sentimen Publik: Sebuah Analisis

This study discusses public sentiment on the Covid-19 vaccination policy in Indonesia. The public sentiment that is formed is studied through the information presented on Twitter social media, where there is a clear division. The public response is divided into two, namely, supporting the implementation of the vaccination program and refusing vaccination. The descriptive qualitative method with the primary data source was obtained through Twitter. The source of the data obtained becomes an analytical tool to see the public perception formed, among others, based on the keywords reject the vaccine, emotions in text, sentiment valence, and the frequency of the dominant word. Another study source is based on previous research journals that discuss vaccination and Covid- 19. The results showed that the public sentiment related to the implementation of vaccinations tended to be positive or supportive of carrying out the vaccination program. The conclusion is obtained through the dominance of the analyzed data with the central tendency to support the direction of government policy. This positive sentiment is in line with the wishes of the government and the public, who expect the normalization of life after the Covid-19 pandemic. This research shows social media as a means of democracy because there is public participation in policy implementation. The limitations of this research are due to the concise duration of data collection, namely 12 November -12 December 2020 due to the limitations of the Twitter API policy data limit, so that to be more comprehensive in recording public sentiment, it is necessary to extend the data mining time and also use Social Network Analysis (SNA) so that the map can be mapped the actors are more visible.
