ANALISIS ISI PESAN MORAL PADA FILM (JATUH CINTA SEPERTI DI FILM-FILM) KARYA YANDI LAURENS

Film, as a mass communication medium, is not only a form of entertainment but also an effective means of conveying moral values to the audience. The film Jatuh Cinta Seperti di Film-Film (Falling in Love Like in the Movies) by Yandi Laurens tells the story of Bagus, a screenwriter who tries to win over the girl of his dreams, Hana—his high school friend who has recently been widowed—by secretly writing their love story into a film script. The film highlights the theme of grief, which is visualized through a black-and-white display across most of its narrative arc. This study aims to examine how Burhan Nurgiyantoro's moral values are conveyed through scenes in Jatuh Cinta Seperti di Film-Film. This research employs an interpretative qualitative content analysis approach. The unit of analysis includes scenes encompassing audio elements (dialogue), visual elements (gestures, expressions, props), as well as the behaviors and actions of the characters depicted in the film. Data collection was conducted through observation and documentation using screenshot techniques, and subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this study show that, in addition to serving as a medium of entertainment, the film can also serve as a medium of education, particularly moral education. The moral messages in Jatuh Cinta Seperti di Film-Film manifest through a series of problems built upon sequences of events, conflicts, and character choices. These messages appear manifestly, encompassing prayer, sincerity, patience, selfishness, perseverance, responsibility, care, mutual respect, and honesty. This film teaches that during difficult times such as grieving, what is needed most is the presence of people who care, respect one another, and offer mutual emotional support.
