IDENTIFIKASI MUTU FISIK BIBIT TREMBESI (Samanea saman (Jacq.) Merr.) BERDASARKAN SNI (STANDAR NASIONAL INDONESIA) DI PERSEMAIAN PERMANEN MOJOKERTO, JAWA TIMUR

Seedling quality is an important factor in the success of forest and land
rehabilitation. Trembesi (Samanea saman (Jacq.) Merr.) is widely used in greening programs; therefore, the seedlings used must meet physical quality standards. This study aimed to identify the physical quality of trembesi seedlings based on SNI 8420:2018 at the Permanent Nursery of Mojokerto, East Java. The study was conducted from May to June 2026 using a survey method on 100 seedlings selected from a total of 2,000 ready-to-plant seedlings through systematic sampling with random start. The observed parameters included stem condition, seedling health,
seedling height, stem diameter, Live Crown Ratio (LCR), and growing media compactness. The results showed that 98% of the seedlings were classified as normal, while the average score for specific requirements reached 94.5%. These findings indicate that the trembesi seedlings met the SNI 8420:2018 standard and were suitable for use in forest and land rehabilitation activities.
