Uji Iritasi Formulasi Sediaan Masker Peel Off Ekstrak Daun Kelor (Moringa oleifera L.) dengan Metode HET-CAM (Hen's Egg Test Chorioallantoic Membrane)

Productsafetyisthemostimportantrequirementthatmustbeconsideredbeforebeingdistributedtothewidercommunity. One proceduretoensurethesafetyof a productisanirritationtest.
Purpose : To determinetheeffectofthecombinationofvaryingconcentrationsof PVA base (7% and 9%) with HPMC (2.5% and 3%) onthe level ofirritationcausedbytheMoringaleafextractpeeloffmaskpreparation.
Method: Usinganexperimentalmethod, a Moringaleafextractpeel-offmaskformulationwasmadewithdifferentconcentrationsof PVA base (7% and 9%) and HPMC (2.5% and 3%) andirritation testing usingthe HET-CAM method.
ResultandConclusion : The irritationscoreon SLS as a positivecontrolobtainedanaverageof 18.81. The irritationscoreonAquadest as a negativecontrolobtainedanaverageresultof 0. The irritationscorefor formula 1 with a PVA contentof 7% and HPMC 2.5% obtainedanaverageresultof 11,96andforformulas 2, 3 and 4 theaverageresultwas 0. The averageis 0 soit has noeffectonthe level ofirritationand formula 1 has aneffectonthe level ofirritation.
