Abstract
This study aims to identify and analyze the moral messages contained in the lyrics of Dialita's song "Untuk Anakku" (For My Child). The song is a work born from the historical and emotional experiences of female survivors of the 1965 tragedy who experienced separation from their families, especially their children. As a medium of communication, song lyrics serve not only as a means of artistic expression but also as a medium for conveying moral values relevant to social life. This study employed a qualitative approach with content analysis. The analysis of the song's lyrics was conducted using Burhan Nurgiyantoro's theory of moral values, which groups moral values into the relationship between humans and God, the relationship between humans and themselves, and the relationship between humans and others. This research was also supported by Erving Goffman's dramaturgy theory to examine and understand how the songwriter presents herself through the lyrics.
The results show that the lyrics of "Untuk Anakku" contain various strong moral messages. Within the dimension of the relationship between humans and God, the moral values found are gratitude, sincerity, and acceptance of life. In the dimension of human relationships with oneself, moral values are found in the form of optimism, hope, fortitude, and patience in facing various life difficulties. Meanwhile, in the dimension of human relationships with other humans, moral values are found in the form of compassion, care, social responsibility, and parental hopes for the future of their children and their nation. Furthermore, from a dramaturgical perspective, the lyrics of this song show Dialita's presentation as a parent who is full of compassion, tough, optimistic, and has a high social concern for the nation's future generation.
