Abstract
This study was motivated by the low productive literacy skills of second-grade elementary school students, particularly in speaking and writing skills in Indonesian language learning on environmental topics. Learning activities were still dominated by lecture methods and less interactive media, causing students to be less active in expressing ideas both orally and in writing. This study aimed to develop a feasible and practical digital-based interactive media to train productive literacy skills of second-grade elementary school students in environmental material for Indonesian language learning.
This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects were second-grade students of SDN 1 Sidomulyo. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Research instruments consisted of expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and observation guidelines. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques.
The results showed that the developed digital-based interactive media was considered feasible based on material expert and media expert validations. The media also received positive responses from teachers and students because it presented learning materials concretely, attractively, and interactively. The use of the media helped students become more active in speaking, writing, and discussion activities, thereby supporting the development of productive literacy skills in Indonesian language learning.
