Abstract
This research was motivated by students' lack of understanding of fraction concepts and the less-than-optimal use of engaging instructional media in mathematics learning at the elementary school level. The purpose of this study was to develop the Fraction Number Monopoly Board (MOBICAH) as a learning medium for fourth-grade mathematics that is practical and effective for classroom use.
This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were fourth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and evaluation tests.
The results showed that the MOBICAH learning media obtained a media expert validation score of 85% and a material expert validation score of 82.5%, both of which were categorized as highly valid. The student response score reached 88.9%, while the teacher response score reached 95%, indicating that the media was highly practical. Furthermore, the learning evaluation result achieved a score of 85%, demonstrating that MOBICAH was effective in teaching fraction concepts. Therefore, the Fraction Number Monopoly Board (MOBICAH) was declared valid, practical, and effective as a mathematics learning medium for fourth-grade elementary school students.
