Abstract
Industrialization is an opportunity for Indonesia to pursue economic development and technological advancement. One of them is the metal stamping manufacturing sector. In the production process of 50x20 chrome hinges, PT. Prima Sakti Asia conducted a trial of stamping machine printing accuracy. Due to the trial, there were waste obstacles in the production process that caused waste. This study aims to provide suggestions for minimizing this waste by implementing the lean six sigma method of the DMAIC stage, to identify, measure, analyze and improve waste problems that occur in the production process. Waste data is identified and mapped using the SIPOC, CTQ and Value Stream Mapping methods. Furthermore, waste data is measured at each stage of production with RTY, DPMO and sigma levels. The measurement results are analyzed using the RCA and FMEA methods, which can then be used to provide suggestions for improvements and mapping new Value Stream Mapping diagrams and comparing the two diagrams before and after the proposed improvements.
