Abstract
This study aims to determine the level of hotpotatoes digital media on increasing students' interest in learning in the subject of Islamic Cultural History at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a causal associative approach. The population in this study were all 9th grade students who had used Hotpotatoes digital media, totaling 115 students, while the research sample was taken from classes 9a and 9c, totaling 57 people. The research instrument was a questionnaire with 20 statement items. The data analysis technique used by the researcher was a hypothesis test with the results of a simple linear regression test which obtained a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.121, which means that Hotpotatoes digital media (variable X) has a contribution of 12.1% to increasing students' interest in learning (variable Y) which means Ha is accepted and with the results of the F test of 7.543 with a significance of 0.008 <0.05 which aims to determine the effect of using Hotpotatoes digital media on increasing students' interest in learning. The more the use of Hotpotatoes digital media for SKI subjects, the more students' interest in learning increases as evidenced by the results of the T test with a constant value of 25,682 with a significance of the X variable of 0.008. The conclusion of this study is that the use of Hotpotatoes digital media has an effect and contributes to increasing students' interest in learning as evidenced by the data that has been presented, starting from instrument testing with validity and reliability tests then a simple linear regression test to determine how much influence Hotpotatoes digital media has on increasing students' interest in learning in grade 9 on SKI subjects at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang
