Abstract

This study was motivated by the suboptimal implementation of learning that emphasizes meaningful learning experiences, as evidenced by the still uneven student participation in the Fun With Language program. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the implementation of the Fun With Language program as a from of deep learning that encompasses mindful learning, meaningful learning, and joyful learning at SD Muslim Cendekia Batu.
This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation from the study subjects the program coordinator, classroom teachers, and second grade students and were subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Data validity was assessed through source and method triangulation.
The research findings indicate that the Fun With Language program has been systematically implemented and reflects the application of deep learning. Mindful learning is evident in students`active engagement and awareness during the learning process, meaningful learning is evident in the relevance of the material to their daily experiences, and joyful learning is evident in the enjoyable learning atmosphere fostered by interactive methods such as games, role playing, and simulations. This program effectively enhances students engagement, comprehension, and confidence in using English.
