Abstract
Methods: This study employed a descriptive correlational
design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 215
undergraduate nursing students from the 2022 and 2024
cohorts were selected using proportionate stratified
random sampling. Data collection using google form Stress
levels were measured using the Perceived Stress Scale-10
(PSS-10), while learning motivation was assessed using the
Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ).
Data were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test.
Results: The results showed that most respondents
experienced moderate stress levels (61.9%) and moderate
learning motivation (67.4%). Spearman correlation
analysis revealed a significant
negative relationship between stress levels and learning m
otivation (r = –0.600; p < 0.05).
Conclusion: There is a strong negative relationship
between stress levels and learning motivation among
nursing students. Higher stress levels are associated with
lower learning motivation.
