Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation strategy of the "Skills Plus Program" at MAN 1 Malang and describe the strategy for implementing Islamic Education values in the program to face the challenges of 21st-century education. The background of this study is rooted in the paradox of Islamic education which on the one hand is required to maintain the purity of tafaqquh fiddin (religious deepening), but on the other hand is forced to adapt to technological disruption, so that it often triggers a gap between the competencies of Madrasah graduates and the needs of the industrial world. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive case study type, which collects in-depth data from Madrasah managers, vocational teachers, and students. The findings show that MAN 1 Malang has succeeded in overcoming the deficit in student skills through curriculum management innovations that are developed organically and involve the industrial world. In addition, the Madrasah uses a "reverse integration" approach by internalizing Islamic Education values—such as digital ethical controls, halal thayyiban principles, and sharia dress standards—directly into vocational subjects (Broadcasting, Multimedia, Culinary Arts, and Fashion Design) to produce graduates with "German brains but Mecca hearts" who are technologically competent and compliant with sharia.
