Abstract
Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest number of diabetes sufferers in the world, after China, India, Pakistan, and the United States. The number of people with diabetes is estimated to reach 28.6 million by 2045 (Lestari & Mundriyastutik, 2023). Over the past three decades, the number of people with type 2 diabetes has increased rapidly in countries with various levels of economic income. Around 422 million people worldwide are affected by diabetes, with most living in low- and middle-income countries. This disease also causes around 1.5 million deaths each year directly
Objective: This study aims to predict secondary metabolite compounds of Singawalang as a DM drug that works on the DPP-4 protein.
Method: Prediction of singawalang plant interactions through molecular docking using Autodock Pyrx series 08, 2D and 3D visualization using Protein.plus webserver.
Results and Conclusions: Based on the research results, of the 15 docked compounds, there is 1 compound that has the potential as an antidiabetic DPP-4 inhibitor with reference to the compound affinity data, namely Leridal chalcone in molecular compound 6.
