Abstract
This study focuses on how the TikTok account @07_anps collaborates with members of the diesel car community in Malang and how such collaboration contributes to the development of solidarity among community members. The purpose of this research is to examine and explain the collaborative communication practices employed by the TikTok account @07_anps in fostering solidarity within the diesel car community in Malang City. This study adopts an interpretive paradigm and a case study approach. Using purposive sampling techniques, data were collected through in-depth interviews with five selected informants, snowball sampling, qualitative content analysis of 20 selected videos, and documentation of interactions within the comment sections. The primary theoretical framework employed is Symbolic Interaction Theory, enriched by the concept of mechanical solidarity. The findings reveal three main forms of collaborative communication practices on the @07_anps account: (1) collaborative content production involving community members directly in the creation of automotive modification videos; (2) the optimization of TikTok features such as Duet, Stitch, and comment sections as spaces for interactive discussion; and (3) the integration of digital interactions with face-to-face meetings in the offline environment. These practices encourage the development of solidarity characterized by a sense of togetherness, mutual assistance, knowledge sharing, and strong familial bonds among community members. This study concludes that collaborative practices on TikTok can effectively foster community solidarity, provided that the collaboration remains participatory, sustainable, and is complemented by interactions in the offline world.
