Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation on employee performance with work motivation as a mediating variable at CV Pustaka Grafika. This research uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population of this study consists of all employees in the production division of CV Pustaka
Grafika, totaling 69 employees. The sampling technique used is total sampling, where all members of the population are used as research samples. Data were collected through the distribution of structured questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using scale range analysis and Process Macro Hayes
Model 4 with the assistance of IBM SPSS. The results show that compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and work motivation. In addition, work motivation also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The mediation analysis indicates that work motivation partially mediates the relationship between compensation and employee performance. These findings suggest that a fair and appropriate compensation system can increase work motivation, which in turn improves employee performance.
