Abstract
This study aimed to identify the problems of Arabic language learning at Pesantren Persis Putri Bangil, analyze the factors causing these problems, and examine the efforts made to overcome them. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The data were collected through observation, interviews, open-ended questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation techniques applied to ensure data validity. The results of the study showed that the problems in Arabic language learning included less varied teaching methods, limited learning media, low student’s learning motivation, and an environment that was not yet optimal in creating an Arabic speaking atmosphere. The efforts to overcome these problems included developing more varied and communicative learning methods to motivate students and familiarize them with the practical use of Arabic in daily activities. In addition, learning facilities and infrastructure needed to be optimized in accordance with student’s needs.
