Abstract
The combination of the token economy strategy with engaging learning media such as Uno Ono 99 cards is a highly effective approach to enhancing addition operation skills in children with intellectual disabilities. The aim of this research is to examine the effectiveness of using a token economy with Uno Ono 99 cards as a method to improve addition operation skills up to teens in individuals with intellectual disabilities. The approach employed in this research is a quasi-experimental design with a single-case experimental design A-B-A model. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling, with the criteria of one subject, a second-grade student with intellectual disabilities who faces difficulties in basic mathematics, specifically in addition operation skills only up to units and utilizes hand assistance for calculations. The instruments in this research include an intervention module containing observation guides, interview guides, and items for the formal test. The data analysis technique utilized is visual inspection, with research findings indicating that the implementation of the token economy using Uno Ono 99 cards is effective in enhancing addition operation skills up to teens in individuals with intellectual disabilities. The increase in scores from the baseline to the follow-up stage is considered as a result of the intervention that has been provided. Consistent score growth also reflects that acquired abilities tend to persist.
