Abstract
This study was motivated by the low level of understanding among fourth-grade elementary school students regarding the animal life cycle material, which is abstract in nature, as well as the limited use of interactive and technology-based learning media. This research aims to develop the KALIDA (Kartu Literasi Digital Animalia) learning media for teaching animal life cycle material in fourth-grade IPAS (Science and Social Studies) learning.
This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were 18 fourth-grade students of SDN Dadaprejo 1 Batu. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively to determine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed media.
The results showed that the developed KALIDA media is feasible for use. The material expert validation obtained a percentage of 91%, categorized as “very feasible,” while the media expert validation obtained a percentage of 80%, categorized as “feasible.” The trial results indicated that student responses reached 88% in the “very good” category, and teacher responses reached 100% in the “very good” category. In addition, the learning evaluation results showed an average student score of 88, with all students achieving scores above the minimum mastery criteria (KKM). These findings indicate that the KALIDA media effectively improve students’ understanding of animal life cycle material and support the development of digital literacy. Therefore, the KALIDA (Kartu Literasi Digital Animalia) learning media is considered feasible, practical, and effective for use in IPAS learning on animal life cycle material in fourth-grade elementary school.
