Abstract

This study aims to analyze user acceptance of the GoPay digital wallet application in Probolinggo City using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The model emphasizes two main constructs, namely perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, with the addition of perceived security to reflect the digital transaction context. A quantitative method was employed by distributing questionnaires to 96 respondents who met the criteria, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that perceived usefulness and perceived security have a positive and significant effect on the intention to use GoPay, while perceived ease of use does not show a significant effect. Furthermore, behavioral intention was found to positively influence actual system usage. The R² values obtained fall into the moderate category, indicating that other factors beyond TAM such as promotions, user habits, and digital literacy also affect user acceptance. These results are expected to provide valuable insights for application developers in improving service quality and adoption strategies of GoPay in Probolinggo City.
