Abstract
The development of digital technology in the world of education requires learning media innovations that are able to increase student engagement and understanding. In mathematics learning in elementary school, especially flat building materials, students often have difficulty understanding concepts because learning still uses conventional teaching materials that are less interactive. Therefore, it is necessary to develop technology-based learning media that can support a more interesting and effective learning process. This research aims to develop a Problem Based Learning-based Mathematics Live Worksheet on flat building materials for grade V elementary school and to determine the feasibility and user response to the developed media.
This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model which includes five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The analysis stage is carried out through observation and interviews with grade V teachers to find out the learning needs. The design stage is carried out by designing a Live Worksheet according to the material and PBL steps. The development stage includes product creation and validation by material experts and media experts. Furthermore, the implementation stage was carried out for grade V students of SDN Mojolangu 1 Malang. The data collection technique uses observation, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning outcome evaluation tests. The data was analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis in the form of percentages.
The results of the study show that the Live Worksheet developed is suitable for use in mathematics learning. This is shown from the results of media validation getting a percentage of 91.6% while material validation gets 95.4%. Evaluation of student learning with an average score of 88 that has exceeded the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) which is 75. In addition, student responses to the use of Live Worksheets obtained a percentage of 87.5% with the very good category, while the teacher's response obtained a percentage of 95.4% with the excellent category. These results show that Live Worksheets based on Problem Based Learning are able to increase student involvement and understanding in learning flat building materials. The implication of this research is that Live Worksheets can be used as an alternative interactive teaching material that supports mathematics learning in elementary schools.
