Abstract

Indonesian language learning in elementary school, particularly on narrative text material, still faces the problem of low literacy interest among students. The learning media used has not been specifically designed to support in-depth understanding of narrative texts, so that students tend to get bored easily when faced with long texts presented conventionally. This study aims to describe the development of ecomultimedia (e-comic multimedia) containing local wisdom on narrative text material for fourth grade elementary school students.
This study used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the 4D development model consisting of the Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate stages. The trial subjects were 14 fourth grade students of SDN 2 Sidokare, Nganjuk Regency. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, evaluation tests, and documentation.
The results of the development of ecomultimedia (e-comic multimedia) containing local wisdom on narrative text material based on expert material validation obtained 83.33% and expert media validation obtained 88.33%, both indicating that the media falls within the valid and very valid categories. The student attractiveness questionnaire obtained 90.77% in the very attractive category, the teacher feasibility questionnaire obtained 95.45% in the very feasible category, and the average summative evaluation score was 80.00 in the good category and has met the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). Therefore, it can be concluded that ecomultimedia containing local wisdom is declared valid, feasible, and attractive to be used in Indonesian language learning on narrative text material for fourth grade elementary school students. However, this media still has limitations in the scale of trials and requires further development for future researchers.
