ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN UMUR PENERIMAAN PULLET TERHADAP PERFORMA PRODUKSI AYAM LAYER ISA BROWN HINGGA UMUR 25 MINGGU

This study aims to comparatively evaluate the production performance of laying hens based on differences in the age at which pullets were received. The hens, aged 13 and 16 weeks, were reared in a closed-house system for 66 days. The hens were categorized as P1 (13 weeks) and P2 (16 weeks). The research method used was a comparative observational study, with observation variables including body weight gain (BWG), hen day production (HDP), egg mass, and mortality. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods and presented in tabular form. The results showed that the P2 group had higher average performance compared to P1, with higher WGW (P2: 55.1 g/bird/week; P1: 54.0 g/bird/week), HDP (P2: 68.02%; P1: 60.61%), and egg mass (P2: 31,41g/bird/day; P1: 26,64g/bird/day). The mortality rate in P1 was recorded at 0.36%, while P2 was lower at 0.12%. Introducing pullets at 16 weeks of age resulted in higher initial production performance and more optimal survival efficiency compared to 13 weeks of age.
