ANALISIS JENIS DAN JUMLAH PEMBERIAN PAKAN RUMPUT PADA PETERNAKAN KAMBING DI KECAMATAN DAU

This study aims to determine the type of grass given and to determine the amount of grass given to goats in the Dau District, Malang Regency, in 2023. Respondents in this study were livestock farmers taken as samples from two villages in Dau District, selected based on data on goat populations above 5 heads in the area. The tools and materials used included questionnaires, cameras, stationery, and grass. The study used survey and observation methods, with a total of 29 heads of livestock families from each village as respondents, so that the total number of livestock farmers observed was 29 people. Observations were carried out to obtain data on the type of feed and grass given as an effort to support goat livestock productivity. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that the use of odot grass was more dominant in Mulyoagung Village with a percentage of 52.94%, while in Gading Kulon Village the dominant use of 2 types of grass (odot grass and elephant grass) was 91.67%. Furthermore, the grass feed intake in Mulyoagung Village is 1.85 kg/head/day, while in Gading Kulon it is 1.89 kg/head/day. Therefore, it can be concluded that there are differences in the type and amount of feed used between the two villages.
