PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA AUGMENTED REALITY UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP SISTEM PENCERNAAN MANUSIA DI SISWA KELAS V

The development of digital technology provides a great opportunity to present more interactive and contextual learning media innovations in elementary schools. One of the technologies that has the potential to improve the quality of science learning is augmented reality (AR), which is able to visualize abstract objects into three-dimensional shapes so that they are easier for students to understand. The material on the human digestive system is one of the science topics that is abstract and difficult for students to understand because the digestive organs cannot be observed directly. Based on the results of observations and interviews with grade V teachers at SDN Sawahan, learning is still dominated by lecture methods and the use of textbooks, so that students' motivation to learn is low and the understanding of the concept of the human digestive system is not optimal.
The product developed is in the form of augmented reality learning media that displays three-dimensional models of the organs of the human digestive system, equipped with animation of the flow of the digestive process and explanatory information for each organ. The results of the feasibility test showed that the developed media was valid in terms of materials and media, was practically used by teachers, and received positive responses from students. The implementation of augmented reality media in science learning shows an increase in students' understanding of the concept of the human digestive system, which can be seen from the comparison of pretest and posttest results. In addition, the use of this media is able to increase students' motivation and active involvement during the learning process.
