ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN IMPLEMENTASI TEORI MODEL ADAPTASI CALISTA ROY PADA NY. S DENGAN ILEUS OBSTRUKTIF Di Ruang Diponegoro RSUD Kanjuruhan

Background: Obstructive ileus obstructs the expulsion of the contents of the
digestive tract which is characterized by symptoms of abdominal pain, nausea,
vomiting, and abdominal distension and constipation. According to WHO in 2020,
obstructive ileus is one of the 10 causes of death in the world and is ranked third in
the main causes of death in Indonesia (Arief et al., 2020). Therefore, this study aims
to analyze cases of Obstructive Ileus patients by applying Roy's Adaptation Model
Theory.
Method: The research in this final scientific work uses reportscase study. The
researcher followed the rules of the nursing assessment process based on Calista
Roy's Adaptation Model Theory using data collection techniques starting from
assessment, physical examination, observation and documentation studies on Mrs.
S, as well as conducting interviews with both patients and families to complete the
data.
Results: Researchers found several problem findings after providing nursing care
for 3 consecutive days. Researchers raised 3 nursing diagnoses, namely:
Gastrointestinal motility dysfunction, Acute Pain, and Sleep pattern disorders.
Among the 3 diagnoses, 2 nursing diagnoses have been resolved and 1 other
nursing diagnosis has only been partially resolved.
Discussion: The nursing diagnosis obtained in Obstructive Ileus patients is in
accordance with Roy's Adaptation Model Theory assessment which has been
implemented based on theory by researchers. Implementation with a basic nursing
theory approach certainly requires therapeutic recommendations so that
researchers recommend therapyGastrografin 76%as a therapy for treating
obstructive ileus without surgery.
