PENGARUH BOBOT BADAN AWAL TERHADAP PERTAMBAHAN BOBOT BADAN HARIAN DOMBA PRIANGAN PADA SISTEM PENGGEMUKAN DI PT. PESONA SATWA FARM

This study aims to determine the effect of initial body weight on daily body weight gain (DGB) of Priangan sheep in an intensive fattening system at PT Pesona Satwa Farm. The study used 21 Priangan sheep that were intensively raised with pakchong silage and concentrate feed and uniform maintenance management. Body weight measurements were carried out every week during the study period. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation test and simple linear regression. The results showed a very strong positive relationship between initial body weight and final body weight with a correlation value of r = 0.851 (p < 0.001). The regression equation obtained was Y = 2.069 + 0.886X, which indicates that every 1 kg increase in initial body weight will increase the final body weight by 0.886 kg. It can be concluded that initial body weight has a significant effect on the growth performance of Priangan sheep, so it can be used as a basis for stock selection and fattening management to improve production efficiency.
