Abstract
This study examines the use of conventional learning media, such as printed textbooks and two-dimensional illustrations, in fifth-grade science instruction at SDN 1 Slaharwotan, which can hinder students’ understanding of abstract concepts, particularly in the topic “Berkenalan dengan Bumi Kita.” To address this limitation, the study aims to develop a digital flipbook integrated with 3D visualizations accessed through QR codes to support deeper learning among fifth-grade students.
This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the ADDIE instructional design model, which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. Data were gathered through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The
developed product underwent validation by subject-matter and media experts before being tested through a limited trial involving fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Slaharwotan.
Based on evaluations from experts, the interactive digital flipbook
integrated with 3D visualizations through QR codes was found to be highly appropriate for use in learning. Student feedback indicated that the media was interesting, user-friendly, and effective in supporting a more concrete understanding of abstract concepts. The incorporation of QR codes also enhanced
interactivity and contributed to a more meaningful learning experience when visualizing 3D content.
