Abstract
Anxiety is a pathological condition characterized by feelings of fear
and accompanied by somatic signs which are signs of a hyperactive autonomic nervous system. The World Health Organization or WHO in 2018 stated that anxiety is a mental disorder with a high prevalence rate, namely more than 200
million people around the world (3.6 of the population of Indonesia) suffer from anxiety. The prevalence of anxiety disorders in Indonesia according to Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2018, shows that more than 19 million people over the age of 15 experience mental emotional disorders, and more than 12 million people over the age of 15 experience depression which is characterized by anxiety symptoms. The factors that cause anxiety are the environment, emotions that are suppressed, physical causes. Objective: to find out how the student's anxiety is in facing the practice at the Malang Regency Hospital. Method: The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study research strategy. Data collection using semi structured interview method and documentation, and data validity test, participant selection using purposive sampling method. Result: the results of the interview that have been conducted obtained 2 themes, Anxiety triggers and anxiety impacts. Conclusion: One of the groups that often experience emotional and mental disorders is the student group. In the nursing major, students are required to master
the knowledge which is then practiced through the nursing clinical practice program that lasts for 7 months. Factors that can affect student anxiety are family factors, friendships, inadequate knowledge and skills, and others. This anxiety disorder can appear anytime and anywhere, it can also appear when you are going to and are undergoing clinical practice in a hospital.
