Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and transformational leadership style on employee work engagement at PT Phapros Tbk Semarang. Work engagement is understood as a positive psychological state reflected in vigor, dedication, and deep absorption in work. In the context of the pharmaceutical industry, which is characterized by high operational demands and strict quality standards, work engagement becomes a strategic factor in maintaining productivity and organizational sustainability. This research employs a quantitative approach with a population of 613 permanent employees in the production, accounting, and finance divisions. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula with a 10% margin of error, resulting in a minimum of 86 respondents; however, 100 respondents were ultimately selected to enhance accuracy and analytical robustness. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a Likert scale to measure organizational culture, transformational leadership style, and work engagement variables. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression after fulfilling instrument testing and classical assumption requirements. The results indicate that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee work engagement. Transformational leadership style also has a positive and significant effect on work engagement. Simultaneously, organizational culture and transformational leadership style are proven to have a significant influence in enhancing employee work engagement. These findings suggest that strengthening consistent organizational cultural values and implementing inspirational, supportive leadership oriented toward individual development are essential strategies for sustainably improving work engagement.
