Abstract

Human resources are individuals who work within a company and play an active role in carrying out various work processes to achieve organizational goals. Thus, the quality and contribution of human resources become a key factor in determining the success or failure of a company in today's era of global competition. One effort to improve the quality of human resources is by increasing employe work engagement. Work engagement is a condition where a person feels positively motivated, demonstrated thru enthusiasm, dedication, and full absorption in performing their job. This study aims to analyze the influence of resilience on employe work engagement, with work stress as a mediating variable. This research is explanatory in nature and uses a quantitative approach with a survey method via a questionnaire using Google Forms, distributed to 109 respondents. The data analysis technique used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The research findings indicate that resilience does not significantly affect work engagement, resilience has a positive and significant impact on work stress, work stress positively and significantly affects work engagement, and work stress positively and significantly mediates the relationship between resilience and work engagement.
