Abstract

The development of digital technology encourages banking organizations to optimize human resource development through digital-based learning systems. Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Mojokerto implements Digital Learning as a means of improving employee competency and performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of digital learning on employee performance with employee competency as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population and sample of the study were all 50 employees of BSI KCP Mojokerto, using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The results show that digital learning has a significant effect on employee competency, but does not have a direct effect on employee performance. Employee competency has been shown to have a significant effect on employee performance. In addition, employee competency is able to significantly mediate the relationship between digital learning and employee performance. These findings indicate that the implementation of digital learning will be more effective in improving employee performance if accompanied by optimal employee competency improvement. This study is expected to provide theoretical contributions to the development of human resource management and become practical evaluation material for Bank Syariah Indonesia in optimizing the implementation of digital learning
