Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and accuracy of Microsoft Excel in recording financial transactions at Bengkel Rumah, a subsidiary of PT Parama Group. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach combined with a case study. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with the finance administrator, logistics head, and operations manager, as well as supporting file documentation. Based on ease of use, procedural clarity, and data processing, Microsoft Excel is considered quite effective in supporting financial transaction recording. However, due to limitations in accessing files on the internal server, the complexity of inter-file links, and the reliance on user speed, this performance is not fully optimal. In terms of accuracy, financial transaction recording using Microsoft Excel is considered quite accurate and consistent with transaction evidence. However, if not accompanied by a rigorous verification process, technical errors and data inconsistencies can occur. Therefore, this study concludes that Microsoft Excel is still suitable for use as a financial transaction recording tool, but requires strong internal controls and system development to improve the effectiveness and accuracy of financial recording.
