Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the work environment on organizational commitment with self-efficacy as a moderating variable among employees of Kanvill Dau Restaurant. The research employs a quantitative approach with a causal design, involving 50 respondents selected through total sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results indicate that the work environment falls into the adequate category, organizational commitment into the fairly high category, and self-efficacy into the high category. The findings reveal that the work environment has no significant effect on organizational commitment. Meanwhile, self-efficacy has a significant effect on organizational commitment, meaning that higher employee confidence leads to stronger commitment to the organization. However, self-efficacy does not moderate the effect of the work environment on organizational commitment. This indicates that employees’ confidence does not strengthen or weaken the relationship between workplace conditions and their organizational commitment. The study highlights the importance of enhancing employees’ self-efficacy through training, coaching, and developmental opportunities, as well as improving the physical and non-physical work environment. These findings are expected to contribute to future research in human resource management, particularly organizational commitment development.
