ANALISIS EFEKTIVITAS PROGRAM CSR BANK JATIM PADA BIDANG PENDIDIKAN DAN SOSIAL LAINNYA TERHADAP MASYARAKAT

This study investigates the implementation and social value creation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs developed by Bank Jatim. Focusing on two initiatives the Lapak Berkah Disabilitas Program and the Education Scholarship Program at Universitas Islam Malang the research employs a qualitative descriptive approach supported by the Social Return on Investment (SROI) framework. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with six direct beneficiaries, observation, and analysis of institutional sustainability reports. The findings reveal that both programs achieved their intended objectives and produced meaningful improvements in participants’ welfare, including increased mobility, psychosocial confidence, academic engagement, and reduced financial burden. SROI analysis indicates that both initiatives generated ratios greater than one,
demonstrating that the social benefits exceeded the investment cost. These results support theoretical propositions regarding legitimacy, stakeholder responsiveness, and the strategic function of CSR in public-sector banking. Overall, the study concludes that Bank Jatim’s CSR initiatives provide measurable social value and contribute significantly to community development rather than symbolic compliance.
