Abstract
Background : Knee Osteoarthritis (KOA) is a chronic, progressive joint disease characterized by active degeneration of the articular cartilage. This condition commonly occurs in the elderly population.
Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between the severity of KOA and fall risk at
Methods: This study employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of patients with KOA. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample of 30 respondents. The research instruments used were the Lequesne Index questionnaire and the Morse Fall Scale (MFS). Data analysis was performed using Spearman's rho correlation test
Result : The results of the study using Spearman's rho test obtained a value of 0.628 (p<0.05), indicating a significant relationship between the severity of knee osteoarthritis and fall risk at Hasta Husada Surgical Hospital Kepanjen.
Conclusion : There is a relationship between KOA severity and fall risk at Hasta Husada Surgical Hospital Kepanjen.
