Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and cyber security on firm value, with Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as a moderating variable in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020-2024 period. This research employs a quantitative approach with a causal associative design using secondary data obtained from annual reports, sustainability reports, and stock price data. The sample was selected using a judgment sampling technique, resulting in 42 banking companies with a total of 210 observations. Data analysis was conducted using panel data regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with software EViews 12. Firm value was measured using Tobin’s Q, while ESG and cyber security were measured through content analysis. The results indicate that ESG and cyber security have a positive effect on firm value, and Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is proven to moderate the relationship between ESG and firm value as well as the relationship between cyber security and firm value, highlighting the importance of strong corporate governance in enhancing firm value in the banking sector.
