KEBIJAKAN LUAR NEGERI YAMAN DALAM MENGHADAPI KELOMPOK OPOSISI HOUTHI

The foreign policy undertaken by the legitimate government of Yemen to confront the Houthi opposition group is one form of efforts made by the legitimate government of Yemen to face the threat of the Houthi opposition group. This study aims to determine the foreign policy taken by the legitimate government of Yemen in dealing with the Houthi opposition using the foreign policy concept approach in the form of bilateral and multilateral foreign policy by combining the two foreign policies to be used simultaneously because the two forms of foreign policy complement each other. The data of this study were collected through literature study and explained descriptively. The results of this study show that the legitimate government of Yemen conducts foreign policy to confront the Houthi opposition group studied in this study using bilateral and multilateral foreign policy forms used simultaneously. Bilateral foreign policy was used as a tactical and quick-fire measure to confront the Houthi opposition groups such as cooperation in the military sector. Multilateral foreign policy is used as a diplomatic measure and with results that take time to be achieved in dealing with the Houthi opposition. Bilateral and multilateral foreign policies are used simultaneously by Yemen's legitimate government to confront Houthi opposition groups and defend the country's sovereignty, in accordance with their national interests.
