Abstract
The implementation of schools in strengthening the graduate profile dimensions is an important part of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools. Schools play a role in shaping students’ character and competencies through integrated learning that emphasizes the dimensions of collaboration, critical thinking, and communication. However, its implementation still faces various challenges that affect the achievement of learning objectives. Therefore, this study aims to describe school implementation, supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as teachers’ strategies in strengthening the graduate profile dimensions among fourth-grade students at SDN Mojolangu 1 Malang.
This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design and was conducted at SDN Mojolangu 1 Malang. The research subjects consisted of a fourth-grade teacher and three fourth-grade students, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to obtain an in-depth understanding in accordance with the research focus.
The results of the study indicate that the school implementation in strengthening the dimensions of the graduate profile at SDN Mojolangu 1 Malang was carried out through classroom learning activities, positive habituation practices, and school programs that support character strengthening, particularly in the dimensions of mutual cooperation, critical thinking, and communication. The supporting factors in strengthening the dimensions of the graduate profile include school commitment, the active role of teachers, and a conducive school environment. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include differences in students’ characteristics and abilities as well as limited time for activity implementation. The teachers’ strategies applied in strengthening the dimensions of the graduate profile include group learning, providing guiding questions, learning assistance, and continuous feedback to students.
