Abstract
Dairy cattle farming is an important component in the development of the livestock sector in Indonesia, including in Sidoarjo City, East Java. This area has considerable potential for the development of dairy farming enterprises due to adequate feed availability and the
high demand for processed dairy products. In addition to meeting the demand for fresh milk consumption, dairy farming in Sidoarjo plays a significant role in increasing farmers’ income and promoting regional economic growth. The objective of this study was to determine the feasibility of the dairy farming enterprise operated by Firdaus Farm. The variables analyzed included cash flow from 2021 to 2025, milk sales from 12 dairy cows in the third to fifth lactation periods, production costs, and net income of Firdaus Farm. This
research employed a survey method with a quantitative approach using financial feasibility analysis, namely Net Present Value (NPV), Net Benefit-Cost Ratio (Net B/C), and Internal Rate of Return (IRR). The results of the analysis indicate that Firdaus Farm is financially
feasible to operate, as evidenced by an NPV value of IDR38.555.714 (> 1), a Net B/C ratio of 1,12 (> 1), and an IRR of 15,50%, which exceeds the Social Opportunity Cost of Capital
(SOCC) of 10%.
