PERBANDINGAN KEBIJAKAN PARIWISATA PADA TAMAN NASIONAL KOMODO DAN TAMAN NASIONAL GALAPAGOS

This research wants to analyze the tourism policies of the Government of Indonesia towards the Komodo National Park and the tourism policies of the Government of Ecuador towards the Galapagos National Park. The analysis was carried out using the Green Political Theory which in this theory carries the idea of ecocentrism which rejects the idea of anthropocentrism. These two national parks have almost the same background, national park status, and state status but different tourism policies. With that, the two tourism policies will fall into one of the categories. namely eco-centrism policies and anthropocentrism policies. Because the purpose of this study is to find out how tourism policy is between Komodo National Park and Galapagos National Park according to Green Political Theory. The research method is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using Harzing Publish n Perish. The data taken is secondary data in the form of books, journals, and news. An in-depth comparison of the policies of each country shows that the Government of Indonesia with the Super Priority Tourism Destinations (DPSP) program which aims to encourage economic growth is considered a policy that causes environmental degradation including in anthropocentrism policies, and the Government of Ecuador by passing the Law 1998 which focuses on protection and conservation in national parks, including eco-centrism policies.
