Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of green human
resource management (GHRM) and transformational leadership on
employee performance at Bangil Regional General Hospital (RSUD Bangil), using job satisfaction as a mediating variable. The study uses an explanatory research design and a quantitative methodology. Using a purposive sampling, questionnaires were given to 62 nurses at RSUD Bangil in order to gather data. Structural Equation Modeling using the Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method was used to analyze the data. The findings show that employee performance is not significantly impacted directly by GHRM or transformational leadership. On the other hand, job satisfaction is greatly impacted by GHRM and transformational leadership. It has been demonstrated that the link between GHRM, transformational leadership, and employee performance is largely mediated by job satisfaction. These findings suggest that improving Employee Performance at RSUD Bangil cannot be achieved directly through the implementation of GHRM practices and Transformational Leadership styles, but rather through enhancing employee Job Satisfaction as a key psychological factor. The study demonstrates that Job Satisfaction plays a strategic role in linking environmentally-based HR policies and Transformational Leadership to Employee Performance in the healthcare service sector.
