MODEL KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL GURU DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER DAN KEPRIBADIAN SISWA DI ERA DIGITAL ( Studi Deskriptif Kualitatif di SDN 1 Kembiritan Kabupaten Banyuwangi)

This research was conducted to find out what communication models teachers use to shape students' character and personality in the digital era.

SDN 1 Kembaritan is one of the state elementary schools in Banyuwangi district. SDN 1 Kembiritan was founded in 1922 with "A" accreditation and has a vision and mission of excellence in academic and non-academic fields and is able to compete and has good morals.
In today's digital era, the task of teachers is even greater because they have to shape students' character and personality so that students are not easily influenced by exposure to media that is increasingly easy to access. Character and personality formation must be instilled from an early age so that future generations can have good character and personality.
As implemented at SDN 1 Kembitan, this elementary school forms the character and personality of its students well, such as maintaining a supportive school environment, instilling a sense of caring for its students and instilling faith.
Therefore, researchers are interested in finding out how interpersonal communication models shape students' character and personality in the digital era. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method based on a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques using interviews and documentation.

Researchers use the Relationship Maintenance theory, which is an effort to maintain a relationship in a specific condition. A relationship is not just maintained, but there are basic things in a relationship so that it remains.

The results of this research indicate that the communication model that occurs between teachers and students is a circular or interactive communication model.
