Improve Student Learning Motivation in PPKn Subjects at MTsN Batu City
Class VIII. Thesis, Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program,
FKIP, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, Supervisor: (I) Drs, Rohmad
Widodo, M.Si. (II) Rose Fitria Lutfiana, M.Pd.
This study aims to determine the best way to implement the Talking Stick
method in the teaching and learning process in the PPKn subject at MTsN Kota
Batu class VIII in the academic year 20240/2025. The formulation of the problem
in this thesis is "What are the obstacles to implementing the talking stick model to
build student learning motivation in the PPKn subject at MTsN Kota Batu class
VIII?"
This type of research is Qualitative research, with a descriptive research
design that aims to explain what is done with observation, interview and
documentation techniques. The learning outcome test is used to determine the
increase in student learning outcomes on PPKn subject matter. The observation
sheet is used to determine the increase in activity in following the student learning
process. The documentation sheet is used to collect data in the form of the history
of the research location and others.
Based on the results of this study, it shows an increase in student learning
outcomes after the Talking Stick method was implemented. This can be concluded
from the results of interviews with PPKn teachers and other teachers as well as
student responses during learning activities. Based on these results, it can be
concluded that the Talking Stick method can improve student learning outcomes in
PPKn subjects at MTsN Kota Batu class VIII.
