PROSES PENEGAKAN HUKUM TERHADAP PELAKU AKSI DEMONSTASI DIKANTOR AREMA FC KOTA MALANG

The author discusses research motivated by the damage that occurred at the Arema FC Office. The research was conducted at the Malang District Court Class 1A regarding the problems that occurred on January 29, 2023. The incident should have taken place peacefully since the demonstrators carried out the activity with the aim of peaceful action to apologize to all football-loving people due to the incident in Kanjuruhan that hindered Indonesian football. Furthermore, the Kanjuruhan tragedy caused a one-season delay in league competitions 2 and 3, resulting in staff and players losing their jobs. Unfortunately, the originally peaceful demonstration turned chaotic due to tense friction between both parties, ultimately resulting in violent clashes. This paper employs a mixed-method approach, combining the sociological method and normative juridical. The sociological method involves observing trials, interviewing legal counsel directly, and conducting field observations. The normative juridical method involves collecting sources such as journals, laws, articles, and expert opinions to serve as benchmarks. As a result, the defendant, who previously received demands from the prosecutor varying from 1 year and 10 months, finally received a sentence from the judge of 9 months in prison
