Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a crucial aspect in the construction industry, which is highly vulnerable to work-related accidents. This study aims to analyze the influence of the implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) and OSH organization on the risk of work accidents in the IKN Toll Road Project Section 3A-2 (Karangjoang – KKT Kariangau), East Kalimantan. A quantitative approach was employed by distributing questionnaires to 50 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out using validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and the Relative Importance Index (RII).
The results reveal that the implementation of SMK3 has a significant effect on reducing the risk of work accidents, while OSH organization does not show a statistically significant influence, although the RII indicates that supervision is considered highly important by respondents. Simultaneous testing demonstrates that SMK3 implementation and OSH organization together have a significant impact on work accident risk. These findings highlight the importance of consistent SMK3 implementation and the strengthening of OSH culture on-site to support the achievement of zero-accident targets in national strategic projects.
