Abstract
The development of digital technology encourages higher education institutions to provide publication services that are more efficient and easily accessible. UMM Press, as the publishing unit of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, has launched an e-book application to support the needs of academics and the general public. However, the success of an application is not solely determined by its features, but also by the user experience in accessing and utilizing it. This study aims to analyze the user experience of the UMM Press e-book application using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ), which consists of six aspects: attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, dependability, stimulation, and novelty. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to active UMM students from the 2021 to 2024 cohorts and analyzed quantitatively based on the UEQ guidelines. The results indicate that although the UMM Press e-book application generally provides a good user experience, optimization of features and interaction design is still needed to improve user satisfaction and ensure sustainable use.
