Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of transactional leadership and work-life balance on turnover intention, mediated by job satisfaction. This study was conducted using an explanatory quantitative approach. The population in this study consists of the 7 branches of Ayam Geprek Sa'I in Malang City, totaling 105 employes. The sample was obtained using Hair's formula, resulting in 85 employes from Ayam Geprek Sa'i, selected using purposive sampling. The data collection technique in this study uses a survey with the distribution of questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used were the Likert scale and PLS-SEM 4. The results of the Likert scale showed that transactional leadership was in the very good behavior category, work-life balance was in the balanced category, turnover intention was very high, and job satisfaction was very satisfied. The T-test results show that transactional leadership and work-life balance significantly influence turnover intention and work-life balance, while the mediation test results indicate that transactional leadership and work-life balance significantly influence turnover intention thru job satisfaction. The findings of this study suggest that good transactional leadership and work-life balance can foster job satisfaction, which indirectly reduces turnover intention.
