Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable at Begibung Resto & Café, Lombok. The objectives of the study are fourfold: to examine the effect of compensation on employee performance, to examine the effect of compensation on job satisfaction, to examine the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance, and (to investigate the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between compensation and employee performance. This research employed a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to all employees of Begibung Resto & Café, totaling 100 respondents. The data were analyzed using path analysis to test the direct and indirect effects among variables. The findings reveal that compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, compensation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction fully mediates the relationship between compensation and employee performance.
