Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of organizational commitment as a mediator in the influence of perceived control and self-efficacy on readiness to change among employees of PT. Bumi Menara Internusa Malang. This research is an explanatory study with a quantitative approach. Using questionnaire data with proportional random sampling technique from 310 respondents. The data analysis method used is scale range and Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the scale range indicate that perceived control is in the strong category, self-efficacy is in the high category, organizational commitment is in the high category, and readiness to change is in the ready category. Meanwhile, the PLS results show that the direct influence of perceived control and self-efficacy has a positive effect on readiness to change, and perceived control has a positive effect on organizational commitment. However, self-efficacy does not affect organizational commitment. In addition, organizational commitment has a significant effect on readiness to change. Therefore, organizational commitment can play a positive and significant role in mediating the influence of perceived control on readiness to change. However, it does not mediate the influence of self-efficacy on readiness to change.
