Abstract
Problem: This study addresses key issues in salon and barbershop service management, namely long waiting times, inefficient manual queuing systems, and limitations in accommodating customer needs for online service booking. Suboptimal queuing systems often lead to customer dissatisfaction and reluctance to return. Method: The application was developed using the UX Journey method, which consists of four main stages: Discover, Explore, Test, and Listen. This method combines interviews, user needs analysis, wireframing, and validation and verification through Acceptance Criteria and A/B Testing. Results: The designed application provides solutions to the identified problems. Validation results show a reduction in customer waiting time, flexibility in scheduling, and increased user satisfaction. Respondents appreciated the real-time queue monitoring, service booking, and service history access features. The application is also designed to be easy to use and compatible with mobile devices, improving its accessibility. Conclusion and Development: This research resulted in an application that is relevant to the digitalization needs of salon and barbershop services, improving operational efficiency and user experience. Further development is recommended to optimize the interface design and additional features based on user feedback.
